Balance Your Why

About Jaime

Yoga teacher, wine lover, and firm believer that rest is not something you have to earn.

I came to yoga the way a lot of people do — looking for a way to quiet a very loud head. What I found was less about flexibility and more about attention: noticing how I actually felt, and letting that shape the day instead of fighting it.

That's the practice I teach. Grounded, unfussy, and genuinely open to every body and every level. There are no poses you have to earn your way into and nothing you need to keep up with. If a class isn't serving you on a given morning, the honest answer is to skip it and sit with your coffee instead.

The wine came later, and it belongs here for the same reason: it slows people down. A small vineyard, a farmer explaining what the soil does to the grape, a long table and no rush to be anywhere. That is its own kind of practice.

"Balance your why" is the thread through all of it. Not balance as perfect equilibrium — balance as returning, again and again, to what actually matters to you. Some of that happens on a mat. Some of it happens over dinner.
